Poppin' In Quilt

This 63" X 63" quilt waas designed by Kathleen Andrews. The center is a stunning optical illusion or you can substitue a 26 1/2" square of fabric you like or make your own blocks to equal a 26 1/2" square. The method for the borders is unusal and different - I learned some new techniques making them.

Saturdays, March 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30 - FULL

Cabin in the Woods

Use a variety of green fabrics to create your own wilderness retreat. With a little cabin, a canoe, and a flowing river nearby, you'll want to move there. This quilt measures 60" X 68".

Saturdays, Feburary 16, March 9, 30 and April 13, 2019 from 1:30 to 4:30

Free pre-class Sunday, Janurary 27, 2019 from 12:30 to 3:30 to cut and organize fabric

Storm at Sea Quilt

Storm at Sea is a traditional pattern with a twist - there is a heart worked into the design. You choose which size you want to do. Large, which is the sample, finishes at an 82" square; or the smaller quilt that finished at approximately 60" square. The dsign is the same just the size of the blocks change.

This paper pieced quilt is made with patterns that are folded as you sew new pieces so you never sew on the paper. This way you can use the patterns over and over and there is no paper to remove from the blocks.

PLEASE let me know which size you plan to make so I can have the right size cutting directions and patterns for you.

Saturdays, April 27, May 4, 11 and 18, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30

Me and My Shadow Quilt

The pattern for this is 78" X 78" quilt appeared in Anne's Quilting with PreCuts. Using 10" Layer Cake squares is a great way to save time preparing to sew. I used a softer color collection, but this quilt is terrific with brightly colored prints.

Accepting names for a class in the Fall of 2019.

Quilter's Tote and Ironing Pad

Simplify carrying your 18" X 24" cutting mat and large rulets. This tote has a quilted diagonal stripe design on one side and an ironing pad on the other.

Sundays, March 24 and 31, 2019 from 12:30 to 3:30

Diamonds in the Wind

This quilt is a great way to play with color. There are two ways to determine the color scheme for this 55" X 73" quilt. You can choose light and dark fabric of the same color or base it on two colors. I chose purple and green. The pinwheels appear as you piece the blocks.

Saturdays, April 6 and 13, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30

Cornerstones Quilt for Beginners

This quilt is designed for beginners who want to learn all the basic steps to make a quilt. It measures approximately 60" X 60" and features a fabric you really like in the larger squares.

Sundays, April 28 and May 5, 2019 from 12:30 to 3:30

One Block Wonder/Panels Quilt - Technique Class

Learn how to use quilt panels to create a quilt top with a unique design of hexagons surrounding one of the panels. The size of your quilt depends on the size of the panels and how many of the hexagon blocks you decide to use. My sample is 48" X 70".

Saturdays, April 27, May 4, 11 and 18, 2019 from 1:30 to 4:30

Before class you will be sewing 2 1/2 pairs of strip sets with two half size strips unsewn. (See supply list for more information)

Mystery Quilt #5

This will be an all day class, 9:30 to 4:30, to make a quilt that is approximately 60" X 60". Before choosing your fabric, take a look at the sample fabric cards that are displayed in the classroom at RYCO and are also on my website These sample cards are meant as a guide; you should choose your own combinations of fabrics to make your quilt unique.

You will be using 10 fabrics plus a neutral background fabric. Think of the 10 fabrics as 5 pairs. You can use all of one olor or divide it into 2 colors.

Bring your lunch or plan to go to one of the nearby restaurants. Or you can participate in our pot luck lunch - just bring whatever you want to share, and bring your own drinks.
