Labyrinth Walk

We will be following the pattern Labyrinth Walk by Christopher Florence (The Guilty Quilter). This 84" X 84" quilt looks like a three dimensional maze and is made with just four fabrics that range from dark to light. If you have a receipt from Ryco for the four fabrics, you will get $10 off the price of the class.

$45 which includes the pattern

Autumn Meadow

This 54" X 70" quilt can be made with a jelly roll or you can cut your own stripes. Of course you may want to change the name of your quilt if you use a different color scheme.

Earth and Sky

This 65" X 65" quilt has three types of blocks. The center has split curves, the outer panels are half square triangles, and the corners are four patches. By combing these, unexpected designs occur.

Saturdays, November 3, 10 and 27, 2018 from 9:30 to 12:30 - FULL

Scrappy Trellis Quilt

The blocks for this quilt are quite accurate because they are cut from strip sets so that the diagonal seam is already sewn. You can choose from two designs. One is made of basic blocks only. This sample has a black background and measures 60" X 60". The second has a white background with an inner and outer border and measures 65" X 76".

Saturdays, December 1 & 8, 2019 from 1:30 to 4:30

Yo Yo Wreath

The pattern for this 20" square wall hanging was in the 2017 Quilting for Christmas magazine. You will not need to bring your sewing machine to class. The directions for making the background quilt will be given to you in the first class for you to sew at home.

Saturdays, December 1 and 8, 2018 from 9:30 to 12:30 - FULL

Mardi Gras Quilt

The name of this quilt comes from the bright fabrics I chose. You can certainly rename your quilt to match your colors. It is made with 10" squares that you can buy pre-cut or you can cut your own. My quilt finished at 56" X 63".

Saturdays, December 1 and 8, 2018 from 1:30 to 4:30

Poppin' In Quilt

This 63" X 63" quilt waas designed by Kathleen Andrews. The center is a stunning optical illusion or you can substitue a 26 1/2" square of fabric you like or make your own blocks to equal a 26 1/2" square. The method for the borders is unusal and different - I learned some new techniques making them.

Saturdays, March 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30 - FULL

Cabin in the Woods

Use a variety of green fabrics to create your own wilderness retreat. With a little cabin, a canoe, and a flowing river nearby, you'll want to move there. This quilt measures 60" X 68".

Free pre-class Sunday, Janurary 27, 2019 from 12:30 to 3:30 to cut and organize fabric

Storm at Sea Quilt

Storm at Sea is a traditional pattern with a twist - there is a heart worked into the design. You choose which size you want to do. Large, which is the sample, finishes at an 82" square; or the smaller quilt that finished at approximately 60" square. The dsign is the same just the size of the blocks change.

This paper pieced quilt is made with patterns that are folded as you sew new pieces so you never sew on the paper. This way you can use the patterns over and over and there is no paper to remove from the blocks.

PLEASE let me know which size you plan to make so I can have the right size cutting directions and patterns for you.

Sundays, Feburary 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2019 from 12:30 to 3:30 - FULL

Saturdays, April 27, May 4, 11 and 18, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30

Me and My Shadow Quilt

The pattern for this is 78" X 78" quilt appeared in Anne's Quilting with PreCuts. Using 10" Layer Cake squares is a great way to save time preparing to sew. I used a softer color collection, but this quilt is terrific with brightly colored prints.

Diamonds in the Wind

This quilt is a great way to play with color. There are two ways to determine the color scheme for this 55" X 73" quilt. You can choose light and dark fabric of the same color or base it on two colors. I chose purple and green. The pinwheels appear as you piece the blocks.

Saturdays, April 6 and 13, 2019 from 9:30 to 12:30

Cornerstones Quilt for Beginners

This quilt is designed for beginners who want to learn all the basic steps to make a quilt. It measures approximately 60" X 60" and features a fabric you really like in the larger squares.
